Joining Information
Ceredigion Craft Makers is a friendly group which works as a co-operative to put on fairs and exhibitions of quality craft and art work made in and around Ceredigion.
We are keen to grow the group, so if you are a maker or artist working in the area we would welcome you to apply for membership and discover if we are the right group for you.
We strongly recommend that prospective applicants visit one of our shows, to get an idea of the range and quality of members’ work and how it is presented. This also gives you an opportunity to meet the members who are participating, and ask any questions.
We run about a dozen events each year, at venues throughout the county.
Membership comprises a subscription, per calendar year, currently £48; this covers the overheads for running shows, such as packaging, signage and insurance, and website fees.
Events usually cost around £40-£50, depending on the rent charged by the venue, there is no commission on sales* and the majority of events require stewarding, at least one day by each participant. Some shows are ‘Meet the Makers’ events, where each participating member sells their own products from individual stalls, and the customers get to hear about working methods and the inspiration behind the work. Members are free to choose which events to do.
We have a website www.ccmcrafts.co.uk to advertise our events, and each member has a page to showcase their work.
We have a mobile credit card facility; commission on card sales is at present 3.50%.
All members must have up to date Public Liability Insurance. This usually costs around £50 a year and we can recommend places if need be.

Information:
Your name, and business name (if any)
A brief description of yourself and your work

We select members on a number of criteria including quality of work, originality, methods and skill, finish and presentation, and ‘fit’ with existing members’ work.
Following initial selection based on the information that you send, you may be invited to a selection meeting, to meet you and view samples of your work.
We look forward to discovering new work from the wealth of talent in the area.
*There is one exception to this – Aberglasney doesn’t charge any rent, so there is no entry fee for fairs there, but they take a 25% commission on all sales.
